We get this question a lot, and the answer truly depends on the nature of the change. Here are a few examples of what we can and cannot do.
If you’d like your gate to swing in the opposite direction, or you want to place it in a different spot in the fence run it shouldn’t be a problem. We can usually accommodate small rearrangements of that nature right up to the time of installation.
Changes that require more material
Our jobs are packed ahead of time and shipped in an orderly fashion. If the change you’re asking for requires extra material this will typically delay your job while we put it together. The length of the delay depends on the availability of the material and to a certain extent the availability of labour because of the adjustment to the schedule.
If the change you have in mind is large, like say using a different material altogether, it generally means starting from scratch in our FIFO system (FIFO means First In, First Out. You can read more about it here.)
People often ask if their neighbor can come aboard when installation day is nearing. Unfortunately we can’t do the neighbour’s fence at the same time because of locates and material availability. Your neighbour will have to start fresh in our system.
