Fences are like apples: they’re easy to share. All it takes is getting a few of the details straightened out before forging ahead. We get asked a lot if we can “break out” a shared section on a contract. The answer, happily, is “Yes!”

How does it work on the contract?

It’s very common for us to draw up different contracts for each address. Let’s say you want your entire backyard fenced in, but only one run (40′, for example) will be shared with the family next door. Your contract will have a note on it saying that you pay for only 20′ of that run (the other half will be on your neighbour’s contract).

It’s simpler than it looks.

What if there are a whole group of neighbours?

Great! We have a lot of experience handling that scenario. Hit the red “BOOK YOUR FREE ESTIMATE” button anywhere on our website and you’ll be able to choose a time and place that’s convenient for everyone involved. It helps to get the ball rolling if one person takes the lead to book the appointment. After that everybody will have all of their questions and concerns answered by our sales rep.

Do the neighbours need to pay half?

The neighbours often pay half, but it’s not a requirement. Obviously people have different priorities and financial concerns so don’t be too surprised if your friends next door aren’t on board with a project that’s near and dear to your heart. It’s normal, there shouldn’t be bad feelings about it.
