We get asked this a lot, and we understand why. Unfortunately we’re not able to accommodate requests of that nature. Our installations run on a FIFO system and we keep to it as strictly as possible.

What’s FIFO?

FIFO stands for First In, First Out. Very simply, if Alice signs her contract before Bob (“first in”), she’ll get her project installed before him (“first out”). Years of experience tell us this is the fairest and smoothest way to handle a busy installation season.

Are there exceptions?

There are exceptions. Different products have different lead times because of the availability of material. But within those product groups FIFO is still followed. Example: if you ordered an iron fence you will get it installed before anyone who has ordered iron after you.

Weather, location, and crew availability can all cause minor shifts in the schedule at times, but our goal is always to keep the standard of fairness inherent in the FIFO system.

It’s good news for everyone. You can rest assured we won’t bump your job back just because the next fellow is a little louder. And it means the time estimates we give you are more accurate because there are no arbitrary schedule changes.
