Pergolas, Gazebos, and Overheads

The word pergola comes from the late Latin word pergula which means a projecting eave. In modern parlance, a Pergola is a structure with beams, rafters, and lattice that typically has a vine like plant growing through it. Pergola styles are loosely based on Italianate architecture and they are commonly found in wine country.

A Pergola creates an outdoor room that can be used for dining, entertaining or just escaping the midday sun.

"Of course there is no formula for success except perhaps an unconditional acceptance of life and what it brings."
